  9. Batman #475, March 1992
The Grant-Wagner/Breyfogle era is still one of my favorites. They created new, memorable villains month after month instead of overusing Joker and Two-Face and the likes. When the classic villains finally came back they felt fresher and more vital than they have since the ’70s.

DC comics for August 2012: this is going to be a short one. Only one cover for my selection from this month’s solicitations because I am one of those people who won’t be buying Before Watchmen or even posting images related to it, despite the fact that some talented artists are producing artwork for it. Therefore, this is the cover for Legends of the Dark Knight: Alan Davis hardcover, drawn by Alan Davis (obviously), which is a collection of various Batman comics drawn by Davis from early in his career. And that’s all.

  15. helenawaynehuntress:

    More pre-Crisis Bruce and Helena.

Decades prior to the arrival of Damian, Earth-2’s Helena Wayne was the occasional partner of the mainstream Batman. Not just on JSA and JLA crossovers, but even when she personally visited him from Earth-2.

A shame that the loving Huntress/Batman friendship ended with Helena Wayne in the 1986 reboot and was never revisited with Helena Bertinelli. :(
