And this is why I think Dick and Peter Parker would be great friends - they take such genuine pleasure in their hero-ing.
Yes, it’s dangerous but this? They both live for this sort of thing.

Nightwing: Going to ChicagoKyle Higgins talks about Nightwing in Issue #18 after the recentrequiem issue for the death of Damian Wayne. Higgins teased the upcoming transition from Gotham City to Chicago and reveals that Tony Zucco is still alive. Thus pushes Dick Grayson to go to Chicago.“The twist at the end of issue #18 was Tony Zucco is still alive. The man who killed Dick Grayson’s parents is alive in
Chicago. He’s got two pennies and a Nightwing suit to his name. Nightwing only planned to stay in Chicago to deal with Zucco, but I plan to build a mythology along with artist Brett Booth of masks in Chicago and the mystery of what killed them all. Two of the heroes were Ether and Ghost Walker, the Batman and Robin of Chicago. They’re dead as well. There’s this whole mythology that Brett Booth and I are building of Nightwing’s Chicago, which once had masked crime fighters, who are now all dead.” -HigginsTo see more of the Wonder Con’13 at DC The New 52 Panel CLICK HERE

Nightwing musings
The original concept sketches I did for “Bride and Groom” from my Nightwing run, along with the character “Hardsell” who Marv Wolfman decided we should remake into a white character. Groom was based on my then assistant Steve Walker and Bride was originally based on Pauline Benney but they went with the Half black/Half native american version that appeared in the book.

My concept for the characters, which Marv subsequentally ignored to make them metahuman, was a cross between Party Monster/ Natural born killers. Bride and Groom were crafty, calculating psychopaths who would pick their victims, runaways, street kids, kids that wouldn’t be missed and lured them in by running drug filled raves on the Lower East Side.
I saw them as Sweeny Todd and Mrs. Lovett, except for them it was a competition to see who could rack up the highest body count without getting caught.
the sad part is, they only appear in these outfits in Michael Golden’s covers and Bride on the last page that Dan Jurgens drew in his last issue.

I always loved Babs’s expression in this. It’s very “I could get this for free but whatever it’s for a good cause.”
Also Donna Troy as the treasurer of this is perfection.
ALL OF KORY’S MONEY THOUGH. SHE’S LIKE BITCHES BETTER GET IN LINE

I’m actually a little offended because if there were ever a male Strong Female Character
it’d be Nightwing
Isn’t that right Karen?
IM A LITTLE BITTER NEGL dick grayson was doing the strong female character thing IN CANON way before anyone knew who clint barton was but WHATEVER FANDOM
